Hekima Library has over 18,000 books in circulation, more than 1,200 reference sources and other information sources. The library has being automated and all library operations are done via a library management system (KOHA).
The Hekima Library is a research center for students, faculty and members of the community. Members of
the community are allowed to use the resources but not to borrow them. Borrowing is strictly for the current students and the staff.
The number of volumes expected to be expanded in the next few years, with emphasis on African Authorship. The library is currently subscribing to local newspapers namely, Daily Nation and The Standard.
